Dark Roasted Hojicha, a distinct variety of Japanese green tea, stands out with its unique flavour profile, deeply influenced by the roasting process it undergoes. Its roasting process offers a flavour profile that is both comforting and rich, and perfect for relaxing moments.

Rich Roasty Aroma: The hallmark of Dark Roasted Hojicha is its pronounced roasted aroma, reminiscent of coffee or deeply toasted bread. This roasting imparts a warm, inviting scent that is instantly recognisable.

Smoky and Nutty Notes: The tea exhibits smoky and nutty flavours, a direct result of the high-temperature roasting process. These flavors are rich and pronounced, giving the tea a comforting and familiar taste.

Caramel-like Sweetness: As the leaves are roasted, natural sugars caramelise, lending a subtle sweetness that balances the robust roasted flavours. This sweetness is more akin to a caramel or toffee-like quality rather than the fresh sweetness found in unroasted green teas.

Low Astringency: Unlike many green teas, Dark Roasted Hojicha has very low astringency. The roasting process mellows out the tannins, resulting in a smoother, gentler tea on the palate.

2. Add water at temperature of 85-95°C.
