Fukamushi Sencha | 深蒸煎茶
Fukamushi Sencha | 深蒸煎茶
Fukamushi Sencha, a variety of Japanese green tea, is known for its distinctive flavour profile. It is characterised by a deeper steaming process compared to regular Sencha, which results in a richer and more full-bodied taste. It presents a vibrant green colour and a cloudy appearance due to the fine tea particles.
Our Fukamushi Sencha is:
Rich and Robust: The extended steaming process breaks down the tea leaves, releasing more of their natural flavours. This results in a stronger, more pronounced taste compared to regular Sencha.
Umami and Sweet: There's a notable umami presence, which is a savoury and brothy quality, often accompanied by a subtle sweetness.
Vegetal and Grassy: Like many Japanese green teas, it has a fresh, grassy flavor, reminiscent of steamed green vegetables or freshly cut grass.
Low Astringency: The tea is smoother and less astringent than other green teas, making it gentler on the palate.
